Table Painting Blues

I am anxious to see how this will look painted up!

This tilt table will look great reinvented in Blue

The table is the light, loving this color against Benjamin Moore Linen walls

Fleur De Lys, Ironstone, Anne Sloan paint...all is good
My table goes great with my blue and white

Here she is in all her Glory, Di

Painting Metal

Painting is calming and addicting!
My little grandson wanted to help and he painted the whole bottom of the piece

Such concentration

I sponged it off

Here it is on my recently painted table

Looking great next to my couch but no socket near by!

Bell Jar Goodness

Bell Jar fab!

Yes I won a beautiful bell jar from
Doesn't she look sweet on my painted table!
I am still on my Anne Sloan painting jag.  I painted the table with provence and the metal lamp with paris grey on the bottom and sponged graphite on the top

I added a sweet ironstone lid and shot a softer picture to highlight the whites

Love my bell jar!!!
And notice I did stencil a fleurs de lys on my table, then waxed everything so I could easily change out my pretties.  My sweet ironstone looks great here too.

Memorial Day Memories

Happy Memorial Day
I am a military brat and so proud of my papa.  He served in Korea, World War II and retired as a Master Sargent in the Army. His 6 brothers served as well.

That's my dad in the middle, my hero

On my mom's side, my grandpops, uncles, aunt and cousins all have served in the Navy.
My grandpops

My sweet dad presented his WWII medal to my grandson at this visit.  He pinned it to his chest and told my daughter how he served his country.  A few months later he passed away.

My daughter treasured that moment and kept the medal and picture in a shadow box.  Ro wore this medal all weekend and made sure to show everyone where ever we went!

We made flags

He made us all proud today when taps was played on the radio, he saluted

And then we said the Pledge of Alegiance

I hope your day was as wonderful as mine as we remembered the heros that have made our lives free!    Much love, Di
