Lovely Linens

Don't you just love vintage linens?!  I certainly do and have found some lovely pieces lately.

This piece has some holes in the middle but look at that color and fringe.

Sweet pillow cases, I am going to make little envelopes out of these for a wedding present
I just couldn't pass this up so sweet, the work put into it by hand

Another sweet piece and so pretty to represent a sweet blessing for Mother's Day.
I hope you have a sweet week and weekend

  4. SO pretty! I love the idea of making envelops out of the Mr. and Mrs. pillow cases for a wedding gift! you are so clever!
My Mother did beautiful cross stitch and embroidery work, I have a few pillow cases that she made for our daughters when they are older. It warms my heart to see your pieces!
    Hugs to you!

  5. Good Morning to you, I love vintage linens, as the quality always seems so good. The Mr and Mrs pillow cases are just perfect, I could not help but wonder who received them as a wedding gift.
Is the first piece a throw? the colours are so gorgeous and the little cross stitch piece.... well, I do know the number of hours which goes into pieces of work as I have crossed stitched many pieces. It is interesting as normally this style would have been embroidered.
I have really enjoyed my visit and I so I have become a new follower. I am looking forward to getting to know you.
I would like to invite you to visit me at Ivy, Phyllis and Me! you will be most welcome.
    Best Wishes from England.

  7. I am a sucker for linens. I have more than anyone should. I just can't pass them by with all the work that goes into them - holes or not. I try to rotate my linens or make new items from them. Found you through Shabbilicious Friday Party. I am your newest GFC.
    Have a wonderful week,
