FALL IS IN THE AIR

FALL IS IN THE AIR AND IT'S SWAPPING TIME!

This was my first time swapping at Amy's Bumblebeelane Cottage and my partner, Becky, was awesome!
everything was wrapped in beautiful clear bags

I can't tell you how much I loved this bag of potporri, be still my heart...little pumpkins, clothes pins and bobbins!

Becky @ Ginger Creme Hollow does such beautiful work

A black cat of course!

A sweet pin cushion, does she have my number!  lace, jewlry ...wow

She even made leaves!  Everything looks so beautiful in my new ironstone bowl

She even included some leaves for me to scatter

Everything rounded out my sweet fall collection...thank you Becky.  You are one talented lady.  I will share what I created next here is a peak...Di

Best of DIY

Best of DIY Link Party - Link up your best
I am joining the fun group of the Best OF DIY.  You will want to go over and see some fun projects.  I will be pinning alot today!!  So, here are some of my favorites from my house (or I should say no old house).  I can't wait for our new house...hoping for Christmas time.

First, my apple ladder, it set off my fireplace and compliments my apple picker picture.

My next project was our guest room, what a project, I'm still tired.  But it was so worth it.  I am hoping to recreate it in my new house!

This project made the biggest differance in our living room.  I love Anne Sloan chalk paint and it turned out so beautiful on our fireplace.  I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Be sure to visit their blogs below to see THEIR best DIYs!!

Pickin by the River

What's in that window?  As I was driving to an event that said "Pickin by the River", I had visions of great junk finds.

What I found was a fall festival at a lovely church...
Welcoming arms that brought us in to a beautiful place

The doors are open to usher us in

This beautiful church was built in the 1890

         Church of the Redeemer

The Church was built from stones in the area by prisioners from the prision down the road.

The cross came from Italy

The history is this church is as beautiful as the people
The orginial builder had the windows
and wood brought over from England and one window from Canada, a Tiffany window
and the wooden structure from England

The minister blessed us with some pickin' of Irish music.  The music washed over me while I remembered the music my girls sang when they were in choir.  One of my favorite Hymns was In This Very Room.
In this very room there's quite enough love for one like me,
And in this very room there's quite enough joy for one like me,
And there's quite enough hope and quite enough power to chase away any gloom,
For Jesus, Lord Jesus ... is in this very room.

And in this very room there's quite enough love for all of us,
And in this very room there's quite enough joy for all of us,
And there's quite enough hope and quite enough power to chase away any gloom,
For Jesus, Lord Jesus ... is in this very room.
In this very room there's quite enough love for all the world,
And in this very room there's quite enough joy for all the world,
And there's quite enough hope and quite enough power to chase away any gloom,
For Jesus, Lord Jesus ... is in this very room.

I was very blessed this weekend to be in the presence of these sweet people...I am filled with joy to have shared this with you.
Have a great week...Di
