Blissful White Share Day Wednesday

White Wednesday, Such a peaceful feeling A day full of quiet and serinity.  That's what I feel when I look at this wonderful Ralph Lauren fabric table cloth.  Fishes swiming in a sea of white!

 Another fun feeling is receiving a great gift in the mail from my bell jar swap buddy!

 Wow, what is in this White Bag!!  Let me tell you, I was excited to see this fun jar...

 A key, vintage jacks, dice...

 Lace, pen nubs, be still my heart a leather change purse, oh my

 And look a vintage glove, playing cards and a beautiful jar

 But oh, look at the penny change purse...can I tell you I am amazed she got my favorite new item

 And of course look at those buttons and thread she included

Pink Wishes

PINK WISHES FOR OCTOBER

This is a quick post for all of us with family and friends that are cancer survivors.  My best friend was the greatest nurse and midwife I've known.  She was caring, sweet and super friend.  She fought this disease for 30 years.  She helped delivered my 2 girls, I watched her fight to be there for her grand-kids.  She is so missed by all.  I celebrated life this weekend by enjoying my family, I wore pink for my friends.

My coworker Veronica is going through her fight now.  I pray for her and her family that she can conquer her disease.  Join us in the constant journey to support each other and win.  Thanks you sweet Holly for this very special giveaway.

I am still working on the hearth but did add my screen, i will have to work on choosing the right accessories

AND VINTAGE FINDS

 I have loved ironstone pitchers since seeing them in one of Martha Stewart's magazines and her pictures of her home.  I started collecting them slowly and have lucked into many of them.  My recent find was at the estate sale at our local charity shop.  It has a chip on the lip but don't we all have some flaws.  It didn't stop me at all.  And since it was 50% off only costing $12, I added her to my Ironstone Family.  She fits in quite well.  

Gears just add that yummy touch of quirky

Loving the new pitcher on the mantel, beautiful curves and design.  That touch of gray is perfect in the room.

For now we are playing with our clock faces until a future project

Now I have the mantel going, what to do about the brick and lighting in this room?  I have thought about painting the brick white, what do you think?

MY FALL MADNESS

 MY FALL MADNESS

I wanted to bring a little fall in to the family room; so a little fall madness...

I added my cooper rooster

Fluffed up my burlap pillow I won from Nan and added my fruit pillows

I found these great wash boards at the Screen Door

I think they add a great punch to my Irish Halloween

I added my tray from my clock project

My last touch was to add my leaf project I completed with a good friend, then I added some bittersweet and my white pitchers

 We took ferns that her mom collected at the Farm in Highlands, NC and dried for us.  We placed them on crisp white craft paper after spraying with an adhesive.  Viola, beautiful fern pictures!!

We also had a great addition this fall, a new grandson!  He is number 3, just like my Ferns...We started we Ro, then came Atti and now Paddy!!  Like the ferns they start off small and grow.
