Wedding Day Celebration

 It is our 39th wedding anniversary!  We celebrated for 3 days, a family party, a wonderful dinner and then a fun pizza night with our grandson

My flowers were white roses and daisies!
Hubby wore white and our groomens wore blue

Hubby took me to the Red Stag Grill at the Bohemian Resturant in Asheville

We had such a wonderful dinner and beautiful attmosphere

We then had a wonderful dessert at home

And my wonderful husband hung my chandelier!  I found this beautiful iron piece at my favorite shop The Pink House

This man knows my heart and it looks so beautiful in my dining room!

It just makes me happy

 I love a great new piece for the house!  I found these scales from the 60's and decided to paint it with Anne Sloane paint.  I think it turned out lovely and moved it from my dining room table to the front entry!

 It enhances my sconces from France and makes the picture look wonderful

 My mom's clock just looks showcased on my cabinet

Marble on marble top looks beautiful

I loaded the crystal scales with my recent shells from the NC coast

I love all the brass touches compleminting the gold in the frame

Just trying to balance out the joys of decorating!

Dinner & Garden Beauty

We had a special treat at the Knife and Fork resturant in Spruce Pine, NC

We were going to eat outside but it looked a little rainy so we ate inside.  This resturant uses all local veggies and meats.  The menu changes daily.

Inside is rustic and beautiful, the meal was delicious and the outside views were beautiful

The colors of the flowers were so vivid and the smells wonderful

Finding unique items at estate sales is so much fun.  You want to know the history, where did they get it, how and where was it used?

This riding hat captured my attention and I swooped it up

I have it displayed on top of a horse trophy from the 70's "Georgry Girl" 

The other item at the same estate sale was this great camera.  It doesn't work but what a great display piece

And look at the cool case it came in~!
I love going to estate sales because you see what other people cherished and collected.
