Great Friends

Don't you just love your blogger friends Rosemary @ Villabarnes must have the most amazing garage...she keeps pulling out items and doing the most amazing groupings.  She also has tutorials on her blog that will walk you thru your own creations.


I decided to use up my Anne Sloan paint and started painting some cabinet doors for signs. I found some beautiful cabin cabinent doors at the vintage store and thought I would try my hand at signs.

I love this saying

Is just a hop, skip and jump away!!  This little guy is my shopping buddy, we get up and go on Saturdays, he got all dressed up for me and made sure to bring his money.

These are his finds for the day.  I think he did quite well.  Of course the lady that sold us the glass skull told him we would have to fill it up with colored water, good thing we had food coloring in the refig!  We had a great time and ended our day with pizza at The Mellow Mushroom Downtown.  A beautiful day.

Oh my goodness!!  When I received my swap flea bag from my swap partner Rebecca from Rebecca Rose Designs I squealed with joy.

The fabulous told me we had similar tastes....let me tell you I swooned with delight

It's divine, thank you Rebecca for your beautiful creation...I love it

I wore it with my jeans and cool coat...I will have to include a picture next time

                                                         my package from Drucilla Petitbones came, loaded with goodies

                             She lives on a small farm with a spinner's flock of Shetland sheep and angora rabbits who provide inspiration and sometimes fiber.  She sent these Beautiful nests with felted eggs

A New Start

I so pleased with my booth at Flatcreek Pickers.  Hubby helped me set up on Friday and little grandson helped me fluff on Saturday.  Thank goodness for Sunday, a day of rest, restoration and renewal.

                                   One of the co-owners put this floral arrangement together, amazing!

                                    So, I am grateful to Marnie and her boys for helping us set up and the encouragement to give this a go!!  And of course, my sweet hubby and family for helping me gather all my stuff and helping to set up the booth.

Sprinkled with Italian Dressing Mix

A Winner and a Package

  It has been a busy week, coordinating my flea bag in a swap, co-hosting at Katherine's Corner, announcing a winner and opening up my booth at the store Flat Creek Pickers here in Asheville off Merrimon!  Put that on a full work week and I have been a busy bee.

For my Flea Bag Swap I kept it Simple with a Simplicity WrapAdded a ribbion of Strawberries

Unwrapped here it is a flea bag for all my friends treasures, she loves Burlap as much as I do!  This is from an old feed sack.

Do you know how hard it was to give away?  Of course, I left out my treasures...they are sitting on my chair where I took the pictures...so she will have a treat for next week. Rebecca from Rebecca Rose Designs sent me an email and it sounds like our tastes are similar...I can't wait to see it.  Thank you Marsha from Tattered Chick for organizing this swap!

 I also used vintage fabric to line it with and it does reverse for a different look
