Coastal Whites

Welcome to the coast of North Carolina

Come sit on the porch with me and sit awhile
It is always nice to be welcomed to a wonderful place to stay
Sometimes, you just make yourself home where ever you land
There are glamorous places to see
Quiet, respectful places to spend a quiet moment

And places to remember, and pause to reflect
Here is where we will be resting for the next few days
I will be sharing some more coast pictures soon, Di

White Goodness

Isn't the nest just beautiful

From a talented and sweet caring Two Bags Full Artist
See those fibers, beads, lace...wow.  I waited a year for Ms. White Gorgeous
She fits right in with my blue and white room
I upscaled my recent find with Paris Grey Annie Sloan paint
She also looks beautiful on the dining room table

The crystals are beautiful!  Love it.
Joining my great friends, and did you notice my pin it on my photos.  A great tutorial from Code it: Pretty!
                       Have a wonderful weekend,
                                Di

Syroco Painting

I keep finding these Syroco items, I think I am stuck in the 60's!  I have been painting and following Annie Sloan's book Color Recipes for painted furniture and more.

Of course I am still painting with Paris Grey
In Annie's book she painted some wall sconces from France...so I took her idea and painted these Syroco Wall large sconces

 And smaller wall sconces
I'm hoping I don't see anymore Syroco but if I continue to find it I promise to save it and bring it forward.  I will show you the big finish later this week.
Joining the ladies at What is it Wednesday at Ivy and Elephants!

Painting Ms Lucy

Ms Lucy is my grandmother's corner cabinet!  She is a cabinet from the 50's.  My nana antiqued the cabinet a green with gold.  She gave this to my mom and my mom had them stripped to the color below.

I inherted Ms. Lucy from my mom and moved to Asheville.  I wanted to paint it Olde White!  And I did.  It took the weekend, and I had great memories of my mom and Nana.

Mom my gave me the silver candlabras for Christmas one year and I inherited these beautiful Bavaria White dishes that she got in the 50's!
I painted the inside Paris Grey, which picks up the silver on the plates.
Ms. Lucy looking pretty in the corner, with my blue and white curtains
She looks pretty, oh course no one puts baby in the corner, unless she is a corner cabinet!
I love her, my mom and nana would be proud there painting and stripping techniques live on!
