Cottage Wishes creative space -where bloggers create

A place to dream, explore and play.

Welcome to where I create. I am excited to show you my creativity haven. We recently moved into our new home and I have had so much fun getting my stuff out of boxes. Thanks to Karen we get to peak into each others spaces.

I love displaying my finds and creations. Over my desk is a sweet doll crib slat, a sweet picture and a saying from the Wizard of Oz

My desk came from an old house that a coworkers father took out during a renovation. I love the color and design. This is solid, chippy and mine to create at. As you can see I left my desk as is. My journal, fabrics and favorite items at the ready. Beside the desk are my suitcases filled with fabris, laces and papers. A girl always needs her supplies close at hand

My desk chairs are painted with Paris Grey and reupholstered in feed sacks. My sister in law was going to give these away since they did not sell. I had a vision on what to do with them and l am pleased how they turned out.

I write to surrender my thoughts to paper. Somehow it is comforting to randomly let the words flow out

I have had this area created when we decided not to have steps to a basement. The center fit perfectly and houses my books, papers and supplies. I opted to have the tv hung so I could watch HGTV or my favorite shows.

I have my cabinet jam packed with supplies

My cabinet is near the desk so I can just open

My items are arranged in a specific non order

My original work in the back

I have myframes, bobbins and collectibles scattered around.

Favorite memos of my family are displayed

This is a project to do in the future. I do love shabby pieces

Well, I enjoy working with family pictures that bring back sweet memories

And last is a twin bed just in case my grandsons decide to join the fun

Planting Fun

I wanted to dress up my table. So I gathered some of my collections and grouped them together

French pots,yellow ware, succulents, I am ready to go.

It does make a pretty centerpiece

Aren't the textures and color beautiful

I used my yellow ware bowl to hold the dirt and my silver spoon to transfer. Living the life of luxury on the porch.

My sweet french terra cotta pots are waiting for their plants

I got my plant and made sure to spread it out to separate it

White Ironstone plate to spread out the plants and dirt.

A bit messy and I am covered with dirt. But I enjoyed getting all my favorite dishes out to play.

I had to do a test run to make sure the pots we're going to work. They were a little wonky but is going to work.

Now the Ferris wheel is all set up.

This sweet garden needs a few more touches but I like the succulents with their green vines. I added my forks and will create some signs next.

I had so much fun getting my iron pieces ready for the porch. I am enjoying my time getting the area all pretty. What are you doing to your outdoor areas?
