Fall Adventures

We have been very busy this fall   I made some (many) pumpkins this year.     I took vintage fabrics and feathers to make these.

Hubby and I went to some awesome antique fairs

This was my favorite in Pickin' at Southern Bleachery in Taylor's, South Carolina.

These ladies are the best For The Love of Junk, you can go to facebook to see there beautiful work.  Gigi does the most amazing chairs and couches!!  They will be at their next show here Vintage Market Days of Asheville NC coming up this weekend.

Amazing vintage feed sack and horse!

Brandi Still does beautiful work. I will be sending her photos.

I Want everything in this picture!

This sweet pillow was the star of the show. The ladies story was their grandmother who was a lovely lady said this when she was talking to her husband would repeat himself !

I will show what I got my next post. Happy fall. Di

A visit to Franklin led me to The Factory.  I love the art of Deann, the joy of structures and angels. We walked directly to her booth, vowed her lovely works and then she walked in. What a pleasure she is.

Cottage Wishes at Bloom Studios

Yay!  I have found a home for my creative soul at Bloom Studios - A creative CoOP.  I am so excited to join a group of artists and creators.  We are located at The Garage @ 25 in Fletcher, Nc.

No photo description available.

I am stitching vintage dresses, prayer flags and painting canvases.  I even brought in some vintage finds.  Isn't this a dreamy manequin.  The lady is all dressed up in my Wear Your Heart on Your Sleve linen vintage jacket.

You can find her here https://www.facebook.com/BloomStudiosCoop/ .  I will be teaching in the future.  I want to do book making and mixed media collages.

My fellow vendors are so sweet and creative.

Florence

When we arrived in Florence I still felt I was in a dream
We went on a day trip to the Tower of Pisa...I can't believe the beauty of the countryside

The churches

The city of life, of light and of history

I am amazed at the beauty of this city

The countryside was so beautiful, oh if we could have spent more time

The Santos, so full of wisdom

Ave Maria, Maiden mild
Oh, listen to a maiden's prayer
For thou canst hear amid the wild
'Tis thou, 'tis thou canst save amid, despair
We slumber safely till tomorrow
Though we've by man outcast reviled
Oh Maiden, see a maiden's sorrow
Oh Mother, hear a suppliant child
Ave Maria
Ave Maria gratia plena
Maria gratia plena
Maria gratia plena
Ave ave dominus, dominus tecum
The murky cavern's air so heavy
Shall breathe of balm if thou hast smiled
Oh Maiden, hear a maiden pleadin'
Oh Mother, hear a suppliant child
Ave Maria
Ave Maria
I leave you on to Roma!

More to come, Di

Oh Venice

Oh Venice, My Heart still sings for you...Hubby I went there 5 years ago and I still dream of going back.  I am going to share some sights from there.

I just found images that kept filling me with joy, the color are just my style

The brick, stucco, plaster, balconys are calling to me
The carvings are so beautiful, the amount of work and art that went into these just fill me with joy!

I even found a window with beautiful curtains

The sights and sounds in Venice still make me smile!  So many images and unique architectural accents
The entry ways are so fun and inviting...

  The walls even had faces!!

 The iron work was fantastic

Oh Momma Mia I just love Venice!

Next off to Florence

Just some musings on a Saturday night....Di
