Decorating

I am getting ready for the holidays in my our new house.  Decorating has been fun, our decorations are all out.  I am reimaging our spaces with our furniture.
I had the walls painted with Designer white by Benjamin Moore.  I have a mix of black and white.
It would be fun to punch it up with a bit of color.
I choose a chair by a cool accent chair from Chairish. They have a mix of great furniture and accessories.

This was the footprint of our room when we moved in. Lots of light. 

It is a small space to throw in all my furniture. You can downsize the house but this girl has a hard time downsizing her stuff. 

I finally found a space for my love seat. 

Right now I have my moms clock in this area. She collected clocks since her dad was a jeweler and clock repair man.

I created a style board to introduce some bright colors for the holidays. It is a great idea to have a special piece to work off   I choose a beautiful colorful chair to reflect my style. Cherish is a great web site to buy, sell or dream of great items for your home, https://www.chairish.com/ 

Then add some accessories to pop the color out of the chair. Since I normally love white and blue, adding that red accent makes me happy.

This little tree lights up my smile

These sweet boys are excited for Christmas.  They have been helping me make crafts and decorate for the holidays.

                                       My favorite tree in the house is this sweet tinsel tree!

                                                   I have to place him several places to find that right spot

                        I got this one from Banner Elk, NC and delight in seeing him every year

                                I show this perfume bottle every year because it is my absolute favorite item from my Nana Lucy.  My Pops gave this to her many holidays ago.  I love the details of Mary and the nativity scene.

Christmas Neutrals

The calmness of the season calls to me.  The sweetness, joy and beauty of the season resonates in my mind.

The memories of past haunt me with the shadows of past holidays reminding me of my loved ones no longer here.

And then I remember the sweet dreams of child like desires of Santa Claus and recall the joy of sharing those holidays with my parents and grandparents.  Yes, I Believe...

 Because we have the sweet promise of Christmas love.

 The light from above, the promise of what is to come and waits for us.

 I am excited to share my love for this holiday with my grandsons as we prepare our hearts to receive great hope and gifts.

 May angels grace you with blessings as this season surrounds us.
