Grow Your Blog


Hi, thanks for joining me. I am Di at Cottage-Wishes. I collect vintage finds and enjoy the hunt. 
Hubby and I moved from Florida to North Carolina to be near our children and grands. hubby with our 2 Yorkie puppies, Sophia and Maggie Mae.
 We joke that one has blonde hair like me and one grayish like hubby. 

I like country french and blue and white. 
 I enjoy repurposed furniture and crafting with my finds. I took a 60's jewelry chest and painted it like my dresser. 
 Vintage fabric have always caught my eye. I love the rich colors and the history they hold. 

 

Some of my fun projects are this metal hanging and chair

I love using chalk paint and had a friend upholster it with me feed sacks. We lived in buffalo early in our marriage 

And I love decorating with old wood pieces 

We are so blessed to be in the area near our families. 

Here are 2 of our grands. 

Our other family is in South Carolina at the beach

We always find time to refresh our souls here

    Stopped by to meet you on my hop around Vicki's GYB party and loved seeing the things you've upcycled, especially the chair which is fab. DH and I love the South Carolina Lowcountry and will be heading back to Hilton Head Island in a few weeks time for our annual dose of R&R plus extra retail therapy!

    Congrats on your retirement and moving closer to family! How do you like NC? I moved back to my home state of WV after 32 yrs in VA and have visited NC often, mostly the Outer Banks. My hubby was transferred here in 2012 and with the thermometer showing 10 deg right now, I can assure you I long to scurry further south! Looking forward to reading more and seeing your lovely projects here on your blog.

    Hi Di, greetings from another NC gal! Found you on the GYB hop. There is some problem with the pictures on your blog, most of them are not showing. But I'll stop by again later. I like vintage finds, DH says I am a thrift store rat. I enjoy projects too, will follow for a while, and hope you get your picture problem solved soon.

    just a hair thicker. The Awards Super Brain Ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm, Friday, January 9 at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco. Its an elegant, old world theater with 900 seats that will help give the awards the air of importance we believe they deserve. General admission tickets will be released in December.
