A Tale of 2 Chairs Continued

Okay, I found my camera and thought I would continue where I left off...
Now I have waxed with clear Anne Sloane and then distressed
                                                                looking good girls
                                                                 I am loving the flowers
don't they look great against the stone
Now for the uphostering; I am going with feed sacks
We lived in Buffalo N.Y. after we were married
These will look great against my white/gray walls
They look like angel wings to me

So I can't wait until these are done, I am
getting help from my friends at The Pink House

Tale of Two Chairs

Here's the Story of a lovely chair, she was going to be sold and so was her sister...

My sister-in-law was moving and we were selling her chairs at a store but no one wanted them, she said just give them away...well they just didn't want to leave me, so I took them home

Great hubby said, just what we need, more chairs.  we only have 40.
Now, to be fair to me he counted every chair, inside, outside, dining room and probably the folding chairs!
But, I do have a thing for chairs.
                                                            Enter...Paris Grey by Anne Sloan

                                                                The detail craving is beautiful

                                                           So first Olde White
Then Paris Grey
So lovely, excuse the boxes since we are moving next week

My Next step will be to wax and then distress!

Until then and I find my camera, Safe travels,
Di

Do Go Chasing Waterfalls...

Don't go chasing waterfalls baby is a song by Macy Gray and that's what I kept singing as we drove to Brevard, NC.  There are so many beautiful falls there but we picked Triple falls (that is were they filmed The Hunger Games).
We had to stop for breakfast and what a fun sign to start the day.  And do you see that beautiful molding.
This is the path we walked to Triple Falls

It looks so calm at this end of the path
We paused quite a few time to admire the rocks
The water started to foam and pool
Then we got a long range view

We made it to the middle and played

                                                           Just Beautiful

We just had to touch the water and boy was it cold
Next we took off our shoes, it felt cold but good

                                                           Too much fun

                                                                            All smiles

                                                          Peaceful and beautiful
Back in town was a quaint movie theater

This was a great clothes store "Theophilus"

It was time to go home

Paddy was tired

                                             Until next adventure....
