Sweet Journals

I created lovely journals for two dear friends who are the Mothers of Brides (MOB).

Remember Father of the Bride, Diane Keaton (yes, my hero) was the mother of the bride.




Both of my friends are wearing pink at their girls wedding!  In celebrating the wonderful weddings,

I had to remind them to enjoy the moment, treasure every step of the way, because as Sally Karioth states:

 Take time to unwrap your emotions and truly give into the day..the hours...the minutes of your little girls turning into a women .

 This journal is to write their feelings and record those thoughts of the journey of this day.

 

One wedding is today and one in two weeks.  I know they will have tears in their eyes and love in their hearts, I have been there, your little girl all grown up.  Much love to my friends and you!  Happy Mothers Day.

Lovely Linens

Don't you just love vintage linens?!  I certainly do and have found some lovely pieces lately.

 This piece has some holes in the middle but look at that color and fringe.

 Sweet pillow cases, I am going to make little envelopes out of these for a wedding present

 I just couldn't pass this up so sweet, the work put into it by hand

Another sweet piece and so pretty to represent a sweet blessing for Mother's Day.

Garden Time

It has been raining all weekend and now sprinkles all week and I really want to work in the yard

 Peter Rabbit has a new Italian Straw Hat.  Poor Peter has a missing ear, back in winter there was a bear outside our backyard and a crash!  Next morning I checked outside and Peter was on his side with his ear broken off!

He looks happy now in his little garden area

The tree by the stairs leading up to our front door received some company with lavendar plants and stones.  Can't wait for that lavendar to grow

Our Azalea bushes before the rain beat the flowers down

We will be working on this porch in the next weekend to pretty it up

I did buy this wonderful bench at an estate sale this weekend, love the iron work

This is my neighbors yard, I want that ground cover in my yard

I did pick up some plants for the iron basket

A pretty start to the porch re-do

The door is decorate and painted

My lilac bush is starting to bloom

The backyard is also calling me!  A beautiful wreath to great us

This old hand cart will be a great display piece.
