Easter Thoughts

Easter is a time to rejoice, a time to remember and a time to reflect

Jesus's scarifice for us

Jesus Christ's resurrection on Easter Sunday.
So we could be saved

I celebrate these days in reflection of my dear parents love, the family I have and the friends in my life.  I remember the sweet times at Easter filled with the joy of cute dresses, always a bonnet and new sweet purse.  I had a bunny and friends had baby ducks!  My Easter basket was filled with sweets and always beautifully wrapped.  I loved the symbolism of rejoicing.  So I rejoice by keeping my mantle filled with a simple but full display.

I have a sweet nest with my wonderful shabby Chic vintage Spring print

I have a few more displays around the house and will post more

I wish you a beautiful Easter holiday and a re-birth of life

Giveaway Sweetness

We were in the city of Rome for Valentines Day. Yes, I have been off line all week because we are on a wonderful trip.  It has been a whirlwind, but so great.  Since it is our 40th anniversary this year, we wanted to celebrate in style.  Hubby found a great deal on groupon and booked it.  We did try to get in in the spring but it worked out perfect to go now.

Our first city was Venice. It is a city in northeastern Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. Hubby treated us to an evening Gondola ride. The canals were beautiful.
I felt the beauty of the city and the wonder of Venice.  The city is situated on the Adriactic Sea.
Along the way we saw beautiful buildings and windows
 I loved this boutique

A beautiful cafe to glass of wine and a dessert

I am in love with all the cities we visited and hope I don't bore you with all the pictures.

Grey Day Joy

I do love my soft gray days, everything is calm and peaceful
This week has been a cold grey.  We had snow and ice and don't you know, I have been freezing!!
But I had a great homecoming with a preValentine's Day present

Puppies

Not one but two...hubby couldn't let the little one stay behind, so we took home both of them.  Little grandson, so dapper in his grey outfit by the way, has PUPPY LOVE!
I have had the best Grey Day Ever.
