Visual Shopping Trip

I am ready for my house, it just can't be built fast enough!  I saw this at The Screen Door Antique Shop and went on a visual shopping spree!  Would't my Christmas be wonderful.
I saw this set-up and loved it.  I sure could see the dough bowl on my dining room table, the lamp on my desk and the metal spoke half wheel on my mantle.

A few holiday decorations to brighten up my room.  Do you see that brown transferware.  Be still my heart.  Our house has the subfloor laid and exterior walls up.  I can see it coming along and it is making me dream about putting my furniture in.  I have planned on the computer but afraid not everything is going to fit.  We are downsizing to 1500 sq. feet.
I am going to do a little Christmas decorating in our rental this upcoming week but saw these at the antique store!

And then I rounded the corner and this caught my eye...
Could I just transport all this to my new house?  Oh good golly.  My cottage set is just as beautiful as this but green.  I can't wait to get it up in our new house. Here is the front of the house

We hope to move in January

Thank you for joining me on my visual shopping spree...I will share with you tomorrow what I brought home!  Can't wait to start decorating.

What is your chair crush?

CHAIRS...YES I LOVE CHAIRS.  AT one point my husband threatened, yes threatened that if I brought one more home, he would have to throw one out!
All the ones in this collage are mine, except the top left one!  Of course, there are many more in the house.

CHAIRS

So, when One Kings Lane asked me what my chair crush was, I didn't have one moment of hesitation!  I went to their accent chairs page  and found so many that I loved!  Do you see a theme going on here!  I love a wing back chair and a club chair.

I do love a wing back chair!
This is one of my favorites because it reminds me of my love seat

So What is your Chair Crush?

Red, White and Blue, Saluting our Heroes

Thank you to our veterans!  The men in my mom and dad's families served in all the wars.  I am so proud to say I am an Army Brat.  My dad served this country in the Korean War, World War II and helped ready for Vietnam.
 Red, White and Blue

I am so proud of my grandson, Ro.  He proudly sports the medal that my dad presented him as a baby.
My dad was not doing well and wanted my grandson to have one of his medals.  He gave him he medal of honor!  Ro tells everyone how brave his POPS was and how he fought so we could bring freedom to Europe.

Here they are when Ro was little and dad gave him the medal!  My dad passed away soon after this.

We salute our heroes past and present!

Have a wonderful week

Do you want to build a snowman

Do you want to build a Snowman?!
This is what I woke up to this morning, here in Asheville, North Carolina!  I loved it.  Being from Florida, I have wonder of this crisp blanket before me.

I captured some images around the yard and built a snowman!  The snow was creamy white and soft and fluffy.  For this Florida girl is was fun.

The flowers captured the flakes and were blanketed with a frosting of sugar snow.

As I wandered down the street the white made everything charming.  I thought of this lovely quote.

Still signs of fall mixed with the scenes of snow

Loving the rusty scale against the snow
We stayed inside afterwards and started working on some projects

My grandson and I are hooked on the movie Frozen.  I am making a button  book Winter scene.  Here is a sneak peak of what we made...not Olaf but a button snowman

I hope your weekend is fun and maybe some sun will peak your way
