Christmas at Cottage-Wishes

Welcome to my house: Di @ Cottage-Wishes.  I am so glad Jen decided to invite us all in!  If you haven't seen the tour you must start at her house!  Thank you Jen, love your book.

This year we are in a rental house for the holidays while our house is being built.  I found a few boxes of decorations, thankfully our stockings and a few ornamets were in those boxes!  We are living out of 4 rooms (kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom (2), one with laundry!  It really is working so I know we will be fine moving into 1500 sq. feet.  I really miss my craft and dining room.  So, come on into our rental.

We decided to have a table tree this year, puppies and babies would just be to much to handle a big tree.  Besides the ornaments could not be found!  Hubby calls tree Tiny Trim!
I added my ladder, crock and favorite decorations in the living room corner

My grandsons love Frozen so, I added a snowman corner as well

This is the counter dividing the living room and kitchen

 On to the kitchen!

In the corner of the kitchen is a sweet bookcase to hold my treasures
All these items we gifted to me and I love these sweet reminders of friends

My girls were in choir and I truly love the memories we share around the holidays.  When Erin was little she almost lit the person in front of her with her candle signing Silent Night during the candle lighting ceremony at Church.

My mom and grandpops were watch/clock makers-repair.  I always have a clock near by.

Our bedroom is small but holds our king bed and a few dear items

I would usually hang these on the wall!
"Mary did you know" is one of my favorite songs
I have a little Christmas in the corner

Back to the kitchen pass through and were done
I hope your holidays are full of joy
That your family is near to you.
Thank you Jen for a heartfelt homewalk tour

The art work was beautiful

Pictures and Christmas Joy

Do you have pictures and scraps that you love?  Of course you do.  I have loved looking at pictures ever since my grandmother introduced me to her suitcase of pictures.  We would pull the suitcase out every holiday we visited her.  Since then I have been a protector of those pictures and memories.
I have recently found these sweet pictures.  The little boy reminds me of my sweet grandson, Ro.  The girl with the bunny is just like my mom, haircut and all!  I started taking my bits of paper and lace and set out to make my self a sweet book.  But first I wanted to include my favorites in my first Christmas display.

I added my two new("old") ironstone pieces
I added my new White Christmas Button Book from Terri Wilkerson

The images are so beautiful and serene.  I feel like I am in a dreamy winter day filled with light and stars.

A beautiful start to the Christmas season...

May your week be filled with light and laughter.  Di
