Dreaming of a White Christmas

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

I recently went to an estate sale, the house was beautiful and the views fantastic.  I went the first day and bought items I knew would not last until the last day.  Then I went back and hit the 75% off sale and got so many fun items.  I am always on the look out for white, vintage and architectual items and I found it here.
Sweet Picture with Girl in White Bonnet
                                                       Victorian Dress with White Lace

This is the master bedroom bathroom, so pretty and white wicker...yes I passed on wicker because I have room only for small items.
Dreamy blue sofa (I know it is not white but would fit in with my      creamy white bedroom) which I would have loved for a bedroom, if only I had space!

Small sitting bench with creamy handstiched seat

I could imagine this iron bed filled with my white coverlet and white pillows
And the 2nd bedroom white fireplace, divine!!  Look someone inlayed all that broken tile or pottery
And this chaise lounge, that would be in my bedroom also, no need to recover, it was silky creamy white!  A cute young woman with a baby bought it...lucky girl.
I did buy: this sweet boudair set, all cotton and lace
                                                              This dreamy perfume bottle
Beautiful shabby chic frames with gold sweet designs
Sweet little baby shoe that I added to my Shell Shell Collection

                                                                 Collection of White Hardware
And a beautiful lace inlaid white, iron and glass footed dressing tray (found in that master bedroom)
                                                              Sweet Dreams my Friends

Burlap Creations

                                                BURLAP CREATIONS

I finally found a good fabric place in Asheville...Foam and Fabric on Merrimon.  The ladies were helpful, customers friendly and I found my burlap!  I had burlap from my garden center and used it to make a beautiful table runner and flowers.

My family loved their shopping "Vintage Tablecloth" bags last year.  So I thought I would change it up a bit and make a carry-all bag.  I followed a post by La Maison Reid.
I followed it step by step and added my lace and knitted flowers.  I did change the sizing to make some for my little nieces but followed the instructions for the bigger GIRLS

I made my nieces pillows, bears and angel wings

Than I added to the purses for the girls

I made some taller ones for the ladies, good thing because I my daughter saw these and wants one (without lace)!

Then I started the stockings.  I used my BURLAP, feed sacks, quilt pieces and vintage fabrics

I just have a few more projects to finish up.  To see my other projects
                                                                       Apples, Banners and Totes

Have a great weekend and join in on the Christmas Fun...Linking up with

Creating Time

Creating Christmas at The Girl Creative      A fun week to get you in the creating mood

I have been in a frenzy getting my projects done.  I have been using my fabrics, gathered finds and my mom's watch and clock parts.  My daughters, grandsons and hubby have been helping.

I grew up playing in my Pops watch repair shop.  He had his shop ,downtown Orlando, in the front of the house.  He had the most fabulous workshop.  I would spend hours in his shop playing with the tools and jewelry.  I had my own drawer and would put "my" jewels in there.  I can still remember the ring I hid in there, I don't have that but do have a vintage wedding ring set he let me play with and too many watches!!  Or can you have to much...

Of course I had more than one drawer

Very similar to his workbench, I got this off Ebay and would love to bid if I had a place for it.

I made myself a little work tray for inspiration
These are secret surprises for my family...all made with my Pops and Mom's parts...I couldn't part with any of these, isn't that the way with all our collections!

This one is for my hubby, the tray was at a church bizarre for $1, I couldn't pass up the curves and the tarnished patina

The Key is pointing 2 Always!  The clock face from my mom's collection, the key from his sisters estate.

The St. Christopher's Medal I gave him when we were dating, inscription is still there.
The pins from his fathers work.
2 are for my son-in laws and one is for me.

To me this symbolizes my mom, she loved silver and clocks.

It has been raining here and will drop to the teens, possible ice and snow.  Oh boy, I do have to go out Wednesday and hope I remember how to drive in ice.  Sure different than Florida but loving the family time.  Have fun crafting, I am going to be working on linen and burlap bags next!!
